Gintama

9.75 (excellent) Best show for laughs, ever. Gintama is a comedy show, which you would say it's similair to a sit-com like Simpsons, Family Guy or South Park. The series doesn't involve a lot of the main story progression with so many episodes. You would say that the series isn't interesting enough. But listen to this, aside from that it doesn't have much progression of the main story, the series does involve a lot of side stories that introduce new characters. There are a lot of mini-series of 2 episodes, the arcs which start around episode 55 have story progression. Every episode is unique to it's own, and nothing is able to be compared to this series since even the creator portrays himself like a gorilla, just like every other mangaka there is. THEY ARE ALL GORILLAS! It's a very funny and enjoyable series. The jokes don't require a lot of information on the outside for the parodies. They're already funny without them. It's definitely not your typical old Edo historical anime about the Dark Ages (Shinsengumi Period). It's been tuned up to the maximum!

8.75 (very good) One of those anime you have never heard about but it's definitely worth a try. The story takes place in a fantasy world, a city where there is no wind. Two boys fight for their freedom, one of the boys called Zed always looks for trouble while his best friend Noah is stuggling with his crippled body. Both of them are drawned to a different world, where they can find their freedom but aren't together. In a journey set to find one another, of friendship. Zed and Noah take off each their own path. That's about it as far as the story goes for starters. This anime really draws into a couple characters but mainly Zed. You would find the setting quite typical. The difference is that the way it's told is one of those "rare" things you see around. I personally find this one of the better anime you can possibly watch if you like some shounen adventure series that aren't too kiddy looking. Although, they don't show blood or anything which they could but I wouldn't say it's made for little children to watch.

8.50 (very good) A very short series that takes place between places. One in New York and the other in a train called the "Flying Pussyfoot" which seems quite confusing at first but you will notice it soon enough. The story starts with a mysterious accident in a train in the early 1930's where trails of blood and people are left. You follow the people on the train, while also in New York the last bottles of the immortality elixer is being sought.

The series doesn't bore you even one minute, hence it's only 13 episodes. Everything goes very smooth, and keeps you interested. Because the story takes place at two different locations at the same time, you slowly start to know what is happening and things will be kept in the dark until the time comes for you to know. I personally enjoyed this anime a lot, more than any average kind of series and I suggest it to anyone who wants a decent series to watch.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

7.75 (good) The good old Final Fantasy VII's CGI movie takes place two years after the events of the game. The animation is amazing and the graphics look really good. The textures, everything. The music is just the classical Final Fantasy stuff, I wasn't impressed myself. The story is pretty bad of the movie, even for the Complete version plus Denzel's animated special episode. I'm saddened by the change of personality of Cloud, but it's still fun to have seen it because you don't see a CGI movie just everywhere now, do you?
