Quote by Valuna Angie took the words out of my fingers. I was just thinking "it looks lovely' before reading the comments and replying...then I stumbled upon Angi's comment.
Anyway, it looks really nice. Love the usage of colours and trees blocking the sunlight. Something like that always gives a lovely dramatic effect. I am actually more bothered by all the trees beinf exactly straight aswell as the ground. There's no mole bulb sticking out somewhere or some typical small bushes or small trees. Branches laying around, rocks and maybe a bird would be nice picking up some food? It's great nevertheless and leaves me looking at it, wondering how you pulled it off.
Yep, both of you're right, I've got problems with building the compositions >.<
To be honest, when I tried to paint their trunks more crooked it looked so strange, I need more practice :( About the bulbs: some of nearby trees are on bulbs because those which are behind them are lower and have their brunches even lower than some distant trees to the right (at least I tried to make it look this way...) I also need to learn how to fulfill the space of the picture x_x (sometimes it seems that I'm only able to colour pictures but not to draw).
But I still have to learn a lot and all your suggestions really help a lot! I really appreciate your opinions <3 I'll be better next time >:DD

How is it? tried to keep colors transparent so whitness of paper can pass through.

Quote by Valuna It's not really a long term one. More because I haven't had the time to make any drawings to the point of blocking myself. Now I try I kind of fail, but I will get back there. Just gonna start at the beginning as I need to practice quite a bit. It's also to improve what I already can do. Well, seeing other artworks simply inspires me in the way of: it activates my brain to think of possibilities in art. Having an art block, I don't even see them or very vaguely and can not express it with my skills either as it isn't clear to me at all.
Well, my laptop broke down. It may still start up but will just wait until I can make a proper back-up of everything. Will finish the wallpaper though. Wonder when I can get my laptop or a computer though...I should be able to do some stuff on art in a few months. If you wish to have more details, get it to private because they aren't quite things I'd share in pubkic.
How come you aren't getting enough sleep? I know what you're going through well enough from my boyfriend. He really becomes doodie when he starts lacking sleep too often. I hope you can still touch Photoshop and such. Not using it only allows me to get less inspired. I mean...there is so much, it's neverending if you just grasp it. Christmas this year will just be ok this time. Perhaps I should get one of those Santa hats. I wish you luck on your exams and hope you can keep up. Being motivated and passionate will get you through.
Yeah it sometimes happens, I hope you'll get back to your drawing pace again, can't wait to see your original works more! :D
Practice is always good, but sometimes I lose my patience and end up with terrible results >.> Due to doing lots of traditional hand drawing stuffs I again started liking hand drawing more than digital, vectors are still my love though xD
I know your feels when the only old computer/pc we have dies, it's frustrating, I used to have a 12 old pc with really bad RAM like 512 which is why my photoshop used to crash a lot. And then during summer of 2013 it passed out and never woke up from his sleep.... half of my summer was freaking boring because that but then my parents bought me this laptop I use, and then I finally got to start vectoring stuff, If I ad this laptop earlier I would started vector stuff a lot earlier.
I wish you'll get a new computer soon! and yeah feel free to PM me anytime I'll reply when I can.
Well, I had to do my assignments, they preponed the submission dates 10 days earlier so I squeezed 2 weeks work in 4-5 days x.x
Gladly everything went nicely, or at least okayish, I'm fine with it though. I was like zombie, and especially when I'm really slow in drawing and painting stuff, it takes more of my time compared to my classmates. I wasn't sane last week at all, today my mom gave me hair oil massage, it felt soo good, but now my hair are all sticky and oil xD
Touched a bit of Sai tonight and drew this from this wanna make a wall out of it, loved the colors and girl herself, well her voice is 100 tomes better than her face, utterly beautiful xD
Proportions are bit off around her neck face, following the dummy technique gave semi realistic face which I didn't liked at all, so did this, still a bit off for my taste prolly gonna edit it a but more.
Christmas for me is nothing but a regular holiday when I'm inside my blanket all day taking sips of coffee numerous times, since we aren't Christian we don't celebrate it traditionally, maybe I'll go to christmas party at my friend's place not sure though, it's just too cold to go outside even thought there's no snow fall in my city, we're used to hot weather.
Thanks for luck exams are going fine, tomorrow's exam of Still life and composition, my composition is good because my color balance is good so I hope everything will turn out the way I wanted it.

Quote by Valuna It looks really nice! Surprisingly, you've got a nice touch on the shading. The lines can be a bit more smoother in general, but the colouring is lovely. I also like how you used a red or green shade in some places. Then, I suggest to give the green a slight red-brownish colour here and there. Very subtle though! What I miss the most are highlights. Highlights help giving more depth, but also to make things more distinctive like an edge. The flower has smooth lines btw =P
Aaaaaand my teacher didn't liked the leaves xD
Thanks :D, as for highlights, you're right about that, but I was restricted to only use 3 colors for drawing (used RGB + white and bit of black) even tool liberty to use yellow on flower's middle part, definitely gonna get minus marks for that >.>;
It was real hell to get the tones of that pink color; red, white, bit of blue for purplish tint and what not x3x
Anyways I'm gonna paint a Background for it, when I'll get that drawing returned from university and also gonna add highlights and bit more of touch ups.

A lotus painting I did today for college assignment. Used poster color but tried to give simulated effect of watercolor. Must say blending killed me, and the paper wasn't 200+ gsm, which necessary for wash and super wet brush.
How's it looking? water sucks I know but paper begged for forgiveness. xD
